Release Roadmap

Introduction

Attack on Titan is a manga by Hajime Isayama which contains complex but engaging themes such as discrimination, natalism, oppression, PTSD, child abuse, nihilism, free will, and the damaging physical, emotional and psychological effects of war. Many of the thematic elements and some of the events present in the story strongly reflect our own history, and as such, the work has resonated with millions of people all around the world.

Attack on Titan: Requiem serves as a fan-made alternate ending to Hajime Isayama's seminal manga. The work is built collaboratively by a tight-knit group of dedicated fans from across the globe, and is a doujinshi which explores another ending to the story of Attack on Titan, based in large part around the "Akatsuki no Requiem" music video by Linked Horizon. Our work replaces the final three releases of the original manga (137, 138 and 139) and depicts a new outcome following the previous chapters contained within the source material (001-136) which provides a divergent scenario to the canon events.

This content is a community collaboration, crafted by dozens of diverse fans from all walks of life who have shared a strong passion for Isayama's work. Originally started in 2021 in negative response to the official ending, the project has since reforged itself several times and seen contributors come and go over the years. Today, the fan ending strives to provide fans an authentic-feeling unofficial alternative to the canon material.

Many issues present in our work will be mitigated in a future re-release, feel free to contact us if you have constructive criticism or would like to assist with the project!

Please continue to show support for the official Attack on Titan franchise by purchasing the manga and getting excited about future official Attack on Titan projects.
